The iRadio Promotional Consideration program has been created to support the independent artist and label community who are interested in purchasing Internet radio airplay slots and commercial spots at a promotional consideration value. The program fairly compensate participating stations for the valuable role they play in getting indies the important exposure they may not have otherwise received using traditional methods. Sales and distribution of payment out to participating stations is administrated by MusiK1 and are paid out prior to the execution of agreed rendered services. Participating stations retain the control of what they play, while providing artists and labels a way of continuing to utilize the unique exposure that only radio can provide.

Currently, MusiK1 is presenting the program to prominent Internet radio stations who generate 1,000+ Unique Listeners per week and are streaming off a ShoutCast server for song and commercial data detection purposes.

To participate in the program, stations will need to agree to the following terms:
  • Signup to a complimentary iRadioStats account for each station/channel that is participating in the iRadio Promotional Consideration program.

  • Submit a 7-day unique listener audience report for the first week in the beginning of each quarter to determine which tier stations fit in the rate card for commercial ad spot and/or airplay slot fees.

  • Pay royalties out to Sound Exchange and appropriate Performance Rights Organizations.

  • Stations must execute commercial spots and/or airplay slots purchased by clients in the exact daypart schedule agreed upon by all parties involved.

  • Render services within (5) business days upon receiving payment from MusiK1.

  • Station Partners who participate in selling commercial spots will need to add each commercial spot to their playlist, just as a song file, in order for iRadioStats to detect ad placement.

  • Send MusiK1 a final airplay report for each rendered commercial spot and/or airplay slot consisting of the total amount of spins that have been generated and the unique listeners who tuned in to each spin.

  • Agree to keep a song in rotation upon audience interest.

Participating stations will need to sign a Promotional Consideration Service Agreement explaining agreed station requirements and an Exhibit A indicating agreed service rates. If at any point rates and/or station requirements have been changed, a revised agreement will be issued out. At this time, there are no plans for revising the rate card.

When stations submit their 7-day unique listener audience report, MusiK1 then determines commercial spot and/or airplay slot rates based on either a 50K+, 25K+, 10K+, 1K+ or 500+ station audience size.

After station requirements and service rates have been determined and agreed upon by signing a Promotional Consideration Service Agreement, MusiK1 then begins to present iRadio Audience Builder clients to new station partners. Station Partners are also able to review over current titles for promotional consideration via their iRadioStats account. For Station Partners who have approved titles for promotional consideration, MusiK1 will then relay the good news back to the client, in which artists and labels will then need to decide if and when they want to proceed with payment and the coordination of daypart scheduling negotiated between the station and client.

Once promotional consideration has been approved by all parties, MusiK1 invoices the client. When payment has been received, MusiK1 then redistributes station payment out via PayPal or business check.
